FromTheClip is entertainment software. It generates short fictional scenes from a clip or still you provide. Scenes are AI-generated and labeled that way. They are not evidence, not journalism, and not a license to a celebrity’s face. Support: support@fivetoclose.cloud.
This Disclaimer applies to https://fromtheclip.com and all related materials, generated scenes, marketing copy, and documentation (the “Service”) operated by FiveToClose. FromTheClip is a product of FiveToClose. By using the Service you also agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Entertainment and educational purposes
All scenes, choice prompts, premises, and on-page copy are for entertainment and general information only. Nothing on the Service is legal, publicity-rights, copyright, or identity advice tailored to your situation. Consult a qualified professional if you intend to publish generated media commercially or involving real people.
2. AI-generated — labeled
Every generated scene is produced by machine models. The player stamps it AI-generated. Models invent motion, expression, and events that did not happen. Output can be wrong, uncanny, repetitive, or off-brief. Results vary. That is expected.
Do not present a FromTheClip scene as a real recording of a person, a news clip, or a confession. Fiction. Labeled. Entertainment.
3. Not a likeness license
Uploading a clip does not grant you (or us) extra publicity or trademark rights. The Service does not sell celebrity likenesses, does not clear SAG/union use, and does not authorize identity cloning.
SFW only. Original or licensed fictional characters. No celebrities. No real-person deepfakes you do not have rights to. If you upload a face you do not control, you take that risk — we may refuse or delete the story and we may not refund the pack except as required by law.
4. Not a documentary about “what happened”
“Before the clip” and “after the clip” are story doors, not time travel and not investigation. The next moment is invented. It is not what the person in a real video actually did next. If your source clip is of a real human, you are still bound by law and by our prohibited-use rules.
5. No guarantee of match, uptime, or satisfaction
We do not guarantee that the same face, clothes, or room will hold across scenes. We do not guarantee that a scene will render, that choice text will be brilliant, or that you will like the print. Character lock is best-effort. Failed generation restores the scene credit. That is the usual remedy.
6. Credits are not a subscription and not cash
Packs are one-time scene bundles. Credits never expire while the Service runs. There is no monthly plan and no unlimited plan. Credits are not a stored-value wallet you can cash out. We may reserve a credit when you pick a door, charge it on success, and restore it on failure.

7. You can pause
Close the tab. Come back later. Unused credits wait. A story in progress waits. Pausing does not stop a generation already sent to a provider, and it does not create a refund.
8. Third-party services
Payments (Stripe), generation (AI providers including xAI), hosting, storage, and email are third parties. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by those providers unless explicitly stated. Their outages, policy changes, safety filters, or refusals are outside our control and may block a scene from printing.
9. No professional relationship
Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, partnership, or employment relationship. We do not publish fake testimonials. We do not claim income from using FromTheClip. Curiosity about a person in a clip is not a business opportunity.
10. Limitation reminder
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FiveToClose and FromTheClip disclaim liability for losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including disliked scenes, face drift, failed renders, lost files, and third-party claims about an upload you chose to send us. See the liability cap and indemnity in our Terms of Service.
11. Changes
We may update this Disclaimer at any time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Disclaimer.
